Synopsis

The plot starts when Doctor Robotnik uses a laser to break a Chaos Emerald into five pieces. Sonic the Hedgehog, assisted by Knuckles the Echidna, sets out to stop Robotnik from gathering the remaining shards and reinforcing his island headquarters after being struck by one of the shards.
